A.B.W.E. Caribbean, Central America, and Mexico

Regional Conference -- Cancun, Mexico -- 2007

Held from September 23 through September 28, the CCAM region of ABWE missions met together for an inspirational,educational, and fellowship-filled conference.  Speakers included Mike Gendron, Dave Drullinger, Bruce McDonald, Dave Southwell, Dr. Michael Loftis (President, ABWE), and our Regional Administrator, Rich Davis.  We enjoyed getting to know the wives of most of those gentlemen, and the ladies especially enjoyed having a "Cup of Jo" with JoBeth Loftis and Joanne Davis one afternoon.  We were blessed with excellent worship times, and the children were cared for by Patsy Allen Dottie Lawrence (babies and toddlers), Joel and Debbie Dicks and David and Donna Patrick (young children), and Paul and Whitney Atkinson (teens).

We cannot overlook the fact that we spent the week in Cancun, Mexico.  All the hurricanes passed us by, and the views grabbed  even those of us who live in heavily-beached countries.  Excellent reminders of God's creation--we saw it in the ocean's rich colors and vivacious fauna, in the glorious awakening of the sun, and our last evening was graced with a bright yellow medallion rising from the horizon into the night sky.
