Only
the size of West Virgina (almost!), Costa Rica hosts a great variety of
geographical areas. In the north, Guanacaste is hot and flat, while the
central valley sits amidst a myriad of mountain ranges. The Caribbean
coast hosts people of Caribbean descent, while the remainder of the country's
people are of Spanish descent. The Pacific side, famous for beautiful
beaches, offers great opportunities for travel. Overall, throughout the
country --whether beach, mountain, or rainforest area, more than 25% of the land
is reserved for flora and fauna preservation.
